The popular Victory Park development located northwest of downtown Dallas will soon be home to three new high-rise apartment buildings and an office tower. At the same time, the area will receive a facelift as it gets many upgrades to its retail space, streets and other public areas.

Bringing More Residential Space to Victory Park

For those who wish to live in Victory Park, the new developments will bring plenty of new residential opportunities to the area. One of these is a 28-story apartment tower called Katy Station. Designed by Houston-based architect EDI International, the development will be located at the north end of Victory Park at Hi Line Drive and Houston Street on a 2.6-acre plot of land. Once complete, the new building will be the tallest tower in Victory Park and will house 461 apartment units. Houston-based Camden Property Trust is also moving forward with plans to build a 423-unit apartment community on the north side of the American Airlines Center arena.

Novare Group, which is based in Atlanta, is also making plans to build a new apartment tower in lot that is located northeast of the American Airlines Arena at Houston and Payne Streets. Currently used as a parking lot, the space is located across the street from where a new 23-story office building is under construction. Developed by Hines and Cousins Properties, the 466,000-square-foot high-rise building is expected to take two years to complete.

Creating More Amenities for Victory Park Residents

In addition to creating more residential living space, the Victory Park development will also soon see a new movie theater and additional retail space. This will be thanks to the a 20-story development brought to Victory Park by Estein & Associates and Lenner Multifamily Communities. Comprising one block of space in an area currently used for parking, the building will feature additional apartment space in the upper levels. The new development will be located at Victory Avenue and Museum Way.

Altogether, the new Victory Park developments will represent the largest addition Victory Park has seen since it was originally developed as a 75-acre mixed-use development in 1999. Estein & Associates will also be spending nearly $100 million to improve the area. Once all of the planned improvements and developments are complete, Victory Park will only have a few vacant lots remaining.
