While North Texas has had its share of economic struggles, the region has been rebounding nicely over the past several years. With its attractive business climate, a growing number of companies are choosing to focus on the area as a prime location for their company’s growth and development. Here are just a couple of the companies that have chosen to bring bigger facilities and employment opportunities to North Texas.

RealPage Inc to Bring 500 New Jobs to the Region

Rental housing industry software provider RealPage Inc. has announced plans to move its North Texas headquarters to Richardson by the end of next year. Already, the company has been leasing a four-story, 400,000-square-foot building on Lakeside Boulevard. Using the space to serve as the company’s corporate headquarters is expected to bring 1,400 employees to the area. After completing the transition, the company plans to add 500 new positions to the headquarters in order to meets operational demands.

The move comes as the company finds it needs more space than its current 250,000-square-foot building can provide. With no room to expand at the current location, the company is left with no other choice but to move. While the company employs approximately 4,000 people around the world, the company has stated that it remains dedicated to the North Texas region.

Furthermore, the company wishes to focus its growth on the region. This growth will include adding human resources, sales, marketing and software programming experts to its new location.

CoreLogic to Move to Cypress Waters

The housing research firm CoreLogic has also announced plans to move its North Texas workers. Based in Irvine, California, the company is currently completing plans to move 1,300 of its full-time employees from Westlake and Richardson to the new campus. The company also expects to add approximately 500 new full-time positions over the next four years. While 300 of these positions will likely involve relocating employees from other states, the other 200 are expected to be completely new.

As part of the move, CoreLogic is investing $68 million in building a new North Texas campus to house its company. To make the project happen, the company has asked the City of Dallas to provide some economic incentives. Reportedly, the city of Dallas is likely to provide the company with up to $600,000 in a Chapter 380 economic development grant. The funds would be provided in three installments of $200,000 each, with CoreLogic required to provide at least $50 million in property improvements and to add at least 1,300 full-time positions to the new facility by June 15, 2017.

To complete the project, CoreLogic is planning to hire Dallas-based Billingsley Co. to build the new 327,183-square-foot facility. The new complex, which will be expandable to more than 400,000-square-feet, will serve as the primary site for Dallas-Fort Worth operations. Future expansion of the building could result in even more new jobs for Dallas-Fort Worth residents. The new facility will be located at the northwest corner of Ranch Trail and Hackberry Road.
