Hilti North America has officially opened two new Texas facilities. The first, a new 65,000-square-foot facility at 3710 West Royal Lane in Irving, Texas, will be used by the global manufacturer to house a test lab as well as a product development and repair service center. The second, the company’s new North American Headquarters, will be located in Legacy Tower at 7250 Dallas Parkway in Suite 1000 in Plano, Texas.

Hilti North America, which is a subsidiary of the European-based Hilti Inc., moved the two offices from Tulsa, Oklahoma to North Texas. At the grand opening event of the Irving facility, guests were given the opportunity to tour the new facility following introductory remarks. Speakers at the event included Cary Evert, who is the President and CEO of Hilti North America, as well as the Hilti Group Chief Executive Officer Christopher Loos. Stefan Noeken, who is a member of the Hilti Group Executive board and Irving Mayor Pro Tem Gerald Farris also spoke at the event. The Plano headquarters were officially opened in the evening on the same day.

The Irving facility, which is located in the new Parc Royal business park, will serve as the Western Hemisphere Product Development and Tool Service Center. The location is expected to employ approximately 50 people. The new corporate office, which can be found at the southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Legacy Drive in West Plano, is expected to employ approximately 250 corporate workers.

The company’s Tulsa facility will still remain in operation, though it will now serve as the North American Operations Center. The decision to move the other facilities to Texas was made in an effort to bring the company closer to a broader customer base.

Hilti to Expand North Texas Enterprise Options

Employing approximately 2,700 sales representatives, marketing experts, engineers and other professionals, Hilti North America is a manufacturer and supplier of specialized tools and fastening systems. Some of the products offered by the company include cutting, drilling, demolition, fastening, adhesive and hanger systems. Altogether, the company operates in more than 120 countries with employees from 39 nations represented at its main headquarters.

With the large number of businesses and companies in North Texas that are related to the construction and energy fields, Hilti wanted to make a move to an area where their products are likely to be in great demand. Furthermore, according to Hilti North America president and CEO Cary Evert, Plano was the ideal choice for its new headquarters due to the city’s “thriving business environment” and because the company wanted to ensure its employees “had a great place to live.”
