Dallas Comic Con to Take Place July 18th

The North Texas Comic Book Shows will be hosting a Comic Con in Dallas on July 18^th. The event will feature many special guest appearances as well as opportunity to purchase comic books and other items associated with the comic world.

As is customary with comic cons, the Dallas Comic Con will host a number of entertainers, artists and writers associated with the comic book world. One of the biggest names to be appearing at this year’s event is actor Richard Hatch, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role as Captain Apollo in the show Battlestar Galactica. Actress Gigi Edgley, who starred as Chiana on Farscape and as Lara Knight in Rescue: Special Ops, will also be making an appearance at the show.

Keith Pollard, who was the co-creator of Black Cat as well as an artist on Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Thor and Daredevil, will also be appearing at the show. Comic artist and painter Steve Rude will also be there, as well as Larry Stroman of Alien Legion and X-Factor. Even the rescue dog Tugg from Tugg & Blake will make an appearance at the show.

If you want to get your picture taken with some of the stars of the show, you will have the opportunity to do so with some of the special guests. If you want an autograph from Richard Hatch, be prepared to pay $30. If you want a photo, taken with your own camera, the cost is $20. If you want both a photo and an autograph, the cost is $40. You can also get an autograph from Gigi Edgley for $30 or a photo for $30.

In addition to having the opportunity to meet people who are involved in television shows and the production of comic books, you will also have the opportunity to purchase collectibles, toys, comic books and even artwork from local artists. There will also be a cosplay contest at 2:00 pm.

The Dallas Comic Con will be held at the Doubletree Hotel Dallas Market Center located at 2015 Market Center Boulevard in Dallas. The event will take place on July 18^th from 9:30 am until 5:00 pm. The event costs only $10 at the door, with kids 11 and under admitted for free.
