Smoothie King to Open New Restaurant in Arlington

For those who love smoothies and other nutritious snacks, you will be happy to learn that Smoothie King has announced plans to open a new corporate store in Arlington. The new restaurant, which will be among the largest Smoothie Kings in the country, will offer a wide variety of smoothie flavors as well as other treats that can help with living a healthier lifestyle.

A Closer Look at Smoothie King

Started in 1973, Smoothing King was originally known as Smoothie Bar when it was founded by Steve Kuhnau. Since then, the concept has grown to 650 locations spanning three continents. The goal of the company is to make it easier for people to live a more active lifestyle while enjoying treats that are both nutritious and delicious. While the treats at Smoothie King are a favorite among those who are trying to lose a few pounds, the company also has treats that are specifically designed to give you an energy boost or to serve other purposes. Smoothie King Expands in Arlington

After it opens, the new Arlington Smoothie King will be the largest drive-through corporate store in the company’s network. Located at 4929 South Cooper Street, the new location will celebrate its grand opening on July 10th from 6:30 am until 9:00 pm. During the grand opening event, the store will offer free 12 ounce Angel Food smoothies.

Located approximately 12 miles from downtown Fort Worth and 20 miles west of downtown Dallas, Arlington boasts a population of around 380,000 people. The city is home to the University of Texas at Arlington as well as a number of other amenities, attractions and conveniences. Among these are AT&T Stadium, Glove Life Park, the International Bowling Museum and the theme parks Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor. Arlington is also home to a strong arts and entertainment culture that includes an ice skating rink, the Theatre Arlington, the Arlington Museum of Art, The Gallery at UT Arlington and Levitt Pavilion Arlington.

A number of other North Texas cities and communities are also located nearby, with Fort Worth, Grand Prairie, Kennedale and Mansfield forming the borders. Smaller communities located near Arlington included Pantego and Dalworthington Gardens.
